DiscountsDiscountsYFU alumni, volunteers, and host families benefit from a discount of $800 for a year or semester program or $500 for a summer program. If your family has hosted one or more YFU international student(s) for at least six months, you will qualify for a host family discount per child you send abroad. YFU international students come to the US for a year or semester and live as a member of your family and attend the local high school. Your family provides the international student with room, board, and a caring home. Discount LimitationsStudents may be eligible for more than one discount and/or partial scholarship award. The maximum allowable deduction for all discounts is $1200 for a year program, $1000 for a semester program, or $800 for a summer program.
